Other Experienced Related Technical Instruction Resources

Proactive Technologies, Inc.® has a list of experienced related technical instruction providers – many are free – we recommend to our clients. These may be helpful in shoring-up a trainee’s core and general-technical skills:​

The OSHA Training Institute (OTI) Education Centers – are a national network of non-profit organizations authorized by OSHA to deliver occupational safety and health training for all levels of workers.
 

 Khan Academy – an American non-profit educational organization created in 2008 by Sal Khan. Its goal is creating a set of online tools that help educate students. The organization produces short lessons in the form of videos. Its website also includes supplementary practice exercises and materials for educators. It has produced over 8,000 video lessons teaching a wide spectrum of academic subjects, originally focusing on mathematics and sciences. All resources are available for free to users of the website and application.
 

 Coursera Inc. – a U.S.-based massive open online course provider founded in 2012 by Stanford University computer science professors Andrew Ng and Daphne Koller. Coursera works with universities and other organizations to offer online courses, certifications, and degrees in a variety of subjects. In 2021 it was estimated that about 150 universities offered more than 4,000 courses through Coursera.
 

 The Industrial Channel – Industrial Channel presents a new and unique way to highlight a region’s manufacturing companies and education facilities. It provides the means for manufacturers to not only showcase their products but also to allow them to determine other manufacturers within their region who may serve as potential clients or vendors.

This channel also serves as a portal for students and job seekers to learn of training opportunities within their locale. It offers employers the ability to communicate directly with those training facilities to coordinate job training and interface with job candidates. This availability of career information will serve as an inspiration to our area students. This site will serve to not only educate students but also to inspire them regarding their career training and their chosen careers.

Overall, The Industrial Channel is a great place for employers, prospective employees and students to avail themselves of vital employment information right in their own backyard.

ISO/AS/IATF and similar quality programs have a requirement that: standardize work processes guide quality, auditable task performance; training matches the process; training is documented for each worker; and a system is in place to ensure all are up to date and in sync. Program supports ISO/AS/IATF compliance requirements for “knowledge(expertise)” capture. In addition to hiring, structured on-the-job training and performance evaluation instruments, PROTECH produces reports such as Technical Document (best practice for each task), Qualification/ Certification Checklists and more. One-revision updates all materials! Efforts like Lean, Kaisen, continuous improvement strategies all can render a lesser model obsolete and non-compliant in a few months. This model provides the lacking support needed to employers who want to easily and cost-effectively establish and maintain compliance. Approx. 45 minutes
