We set up structured on-the-job training programs designed to the employer’s job classification’s exact specifications, built to train incumbent and new-hire workers to “full job mastery” – still the most elusive goal most employers face and the key to closing the “skills gap.” Under-capacity of workers is an enormous source of untapped value and unrealized return on worker investment.

Proactive Technologies’ “turnkey” programs are based on a thorough job/task analysis of the client’s target job classifications(s), incorporating the client’s work processes, forms and policies in the tasks the employee is expected to accurately perform. We train/certify the client’s current informal on-the-job trainers for a more deliberate role in the training process. Proactive Technologies collects and reports monthly each employee’s progress toward documented “full job mastery.”

Revision control support ensures training continues to match the work procedures through any type of change (e.g. innovation, process improvement, Six Sigma, Lean, new technology) – essential for ISO/IATF/AS quality program support. This holistic approach is perfect for cross-training, retraining or temporary assignments.

Our programs can be set-up in as little as two weeks due to our systematic approach to analyzing the job and our PROTECH® system of managed human resource development© – a completely unique software that processes all the materials of the workforce development process from Job Descriptions to Structured On-the Job Training Plans and Checklists; from Technical Procedures (job-performance aids) to Worker-Specific Performance Appraisals. Once the job data is originally reviewed and approved by the client, one change updates all reports! Ensuring each worker’s training matches the work-tasks through a world of change is easy.

Apprenticeships: These structured on-the-job (“SOJT”) training programs form the infrastructure for an apprenticeship whether registered or not. If the client requests, SOJT can be paired with related technical instruction to form an unregistered “Competency” or “Hybrid” apprenticeship that, if registered, will meet the requirements of the US Department of Labor and State Apprenticeship Councils. Proactive Technologies assists companies and their partner educational/training institutions to build the best workforce development programs possible – maximizing the use of all partners’ available resources. If no partner training providers are currently partnered with the client company, Proactive Technologies will locate and recommend private and public training providers who have partnered successfully with Proactive Technologies in the past and have current, relevant content.

State and Federal Funding Support: Setting up an apprenticeship structure opens the opportunity for internships, as well. Apprenticeships, internships, worker skill development, hiring veterans…are all “magnets” for state and federal grant dollars. At the client’s request, Proactive Technologies will research available grant programs and prepare an application for the client’s review and submission to help defray some or all of the initial client’s investment. If successful, Proactive Technologies will manage the grant as well as the project and provide the documentation required to support the funding. Proactive Technologies has done so successfully for clients for many years and has references upon request.

Large Scale, Multi-Plant, Multi-State Project Success: No has been too large for Proactive Technologies, Inc. From 100 employees to 1000 employees, in one plant or several, we have been able to set-up and support effective worker development projects for continued success – some projects for over 20 years!

Whether Proactive Technologies sets up and manages the worker development system for your organization, trains your staff to setup and manage the system, or manages a transition strategy once the system is setup and functioning to specifications, every effort is made to make any project a success.

We have had successful projects throughout Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Ohio, South Carolina, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C., and many are ongoing. Our projects extend internationally to Canada, Germany, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago…with others soon to come.

(Mountain Time) The philosophy behind, and development/implementation of, structured on-the-job training; the many benefits the employer can realize from the PROTECH© system of managed human resource development in more than just the training area; examples of projects across all industries, including manufacturing and manufacturing support companies. When combined with related technical instruction, this approach has been easily registered as an apprenticeship-focusing the structured on-the-job training on exactly what are the required tasks of the job. Registered or not, this approach is the most effective way to train workers to full capacity in the shortest amount of time –cutting internal costs of training while increasing worker capacity, productivity, work quality and quantity, and compliance.

(Mountain Time) The philosophy behind, and development/implementation of, structured on-the-job training; how any employer can benefit from the PROTECH© system of managed human resource development in more that just the training area; building related technical instruction/structured on-the-job training partnerships for employers across all industries one-by-one. How this can become a cost-effective, cost-efficient and highly credible workforce development strategy – easy scale up by just plugging each new employer into the system. When partnering with economic development agencies, and public and private career and technical colleges and universities for the related technical instruction, this provides the most productive use of available grant funds and gives employers-employees/trainees and the project partners the biggest win for all. This model provides the support sorely needed by employers who want to partner in the development of the workforce but too often feel the efforts will not improve the workforce they need.
